Zero-Calorie Homemade Popsicles

Making zero-calorie homemade popsicles that are tasty and refreshing has never been easier.
Perfect for those with hyperglycemia, prediabetes, or diabetes, they are a great alternative to store-bought popsicles high in simple sugars.
They help you stay hydrated during the hot months, cleanse your body, and offer you a guilt-free refreshing break!

Very simple ingredients:
– plain water;
– naturally sugar-free infusions, teas, or herbal teas of your preferred flavor;
– zero sugars and/or a low-calorie or zero-calorie sweetener – I make them without and find them excellent.

Enjoy them when you crave a popsicle or use them to flavor and cool water: place one in a glass, wait a moment… and you will have a fragrant and refreshing drink.

Perfect for adults and children!
Naturally gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan.

  • Molds popsicle

Preparation

I used 350 ml of water and 2 bags for 6 molds of about 60 ml each.

  • Prepare the infusion, tea, or herbal tea – hot or cold – following the instructions on the package.

    My favorites:
    – red fruit infusion mix;
    honey and vanilla flavored chamomile infusion;
    pure cocoa herbal tea.

    I do not add sugar or sweeteners because I am used to drinking unsweetened infusions, teas, and herbal teas.
    If you crave a “sweet” flavored popsicle, you can add a low-calorie or zero-calorie sweetener – read the product’s instructions for dosage and use.
    But first, check that it is not already included in the product!

    After the minutes indicated on the package, remove the bags.
    In case of hot preparation, wait for the infusion to cool.

    Pour the infusion into the molds, insert the sticks – since it’s water, they might not stay straight, but it doesn’t matter!

    Place the mold in the freezer for at least 6 hours.

    Your zero-calorie homemade popsicles are ready.

    Enjoy!

  • To easily remove them, run the mold under warm running water for a few seconds.

    Enjoy them when you crave a popsicle or use them to flavor and cool water: place one in a glass, wait a moment… and you will have a fragrant and refreshing drink.

Storage, Tips, and Variations

Use different flavors of infusions, teas, or herbal teas to prepare digestive, draining, relaxing, or energizing flavored popsicles.

For a prettier visual effect and more interesting taste, you can add thin slices of lemon and basil or mint leaves directly into the molds before pouring the infusion.

If you want a more nourishing ice cream, use a smoothie made with yogurt and fruit or sugar-free vegetable milk.

Popsicles can be stored in the freezer, well-sealed within the mold or transferred to a freezer bag to prevent them from absorbing odors.
It’s best to consume them within a few days, up to 2-3 weeks, to enjoy their natural aroma fully.
