Apple Pie

Apple pie Christmas magic

Hello everyone, just a few days before Christmas, I share with you the recipe for my delicious and very simple APPLE PIE.

A little WATER CAKE and a few other simple ingredients, which bring with them a load of magic and scents that immediately feel like family.

To make the apple pie, I used a wonderful flour that I recommend you try, specifically the Antica BIO Type 1 – 100% Italian, (also appears in my video) from MOLINO SQUILLARIO

This company has been operating since 1969, bringing Quality Flour to our tables

Ingredients

Let’s see the ingredients we need to make this fragrant and magical little cake.

  • eggs (2)
  • sugar (2.5 oz (70g), but you can go up to 3.5 oz (100g) if you like it sweeter)
  • corn oil (5.5 oz (80g))
  • water (3/4 cup (190g))
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • Type 1 flour (2 1/2 cups (300g), I used Mulino Squillario flour)
  • potato starch (1/3 cup (50g))
  • apples (2 inside + 1 to decorate on the surface)
  • lemon (juice and edible zest)
  • 1 pinch salt

Tools

To make it nice and fluffy, I use an electric whisk but I can assure you it also works well with just a fork.

Let’s see how to proceed to make our soft, soft apple pie.

  • Beat the eggs and sugar with the whisks, or with a fork if you don’t have them, until they become frothy and light.

Add a pinch of salt, then the oil, lemon zest, water, and gradually the flours, all previously mixed together (flour+starch) and finally also the sifted baking powder.

  • When the batter is nice and smooth with all the ingredients mixed together, we can add the cubed apples.

Pour into a 9-inch (22cm) mold greased and floured or on parchment paper, arrange the apples on top, and bake in a FAN OVEN at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes. Do a toothpick test.

When placing apples, chocolate, pine nuts, or dried fruit on a cake, lightly flour them so they won’t sink into the batter.

  • Let it cool and devour😋

Advice

Being a cake with fresh fruit, if you don’t devour it within two days, store it in the fridge.

If you want, before eating it, if you find it cold from the fridge, warm it up for a few seconds in the microwave. It will be even better.

Hello, I'm Simona, and my page is called BriCciola in cucina, because I dedicated it to my mom and dad, who have called me that since I was little. I'm not a chef, and in my life, I've always dealt with completely different things, but cooking, along with dancing, has always been one of my great passions. However, my greatest inspiration came from the dishes prepared first by my grandmother and now by my mom. Here on my cooking blog, I'll guide you from appetizers to desserts, with recipes designed for a healthy and mindful lifestyle. Balanced dishes, carefully chosen ingredients, and lots of flavors, because eating well never means giving up pleasure. I love eating, but I also like taking care of my health, my family's health, and, in a way, the health of everyone who tries my recipes. That's why daily life should be rich in flavor, but always with a focus on healthy eating. Thank you, I look forward to seeing you.
