If you love homemade cookies, I have a few more recipes selected for you right below:

  • Cost: Very affordable
  • Rest time: 30 Minutes
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 26 Pieces
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

Here are the ingredients we need to make the cookies

  • 1/3 cup cup sugar
  • 7 tbsp tbsp butter
  • Half packet baking powder
  • 2/3 cup cup milk (as needed)
  • 1 lemon zest (grated)
  • 2 1/2 cups cup flour

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 Rolling board
  • 1 Cookie cutter

Steps

  • In a bowl, put the flour and add the sugar and grated lemon zest. Mix these ingredients with a fork.

Now make a well in the center of the flour, the so-called “fountain,” and add the softened butter, milk, and sifted baking powder.

Mix all the ingredients well, stirring with the fork. Do this until possible and then continue with your hands.

Form a smooth and soft dough.

  • As I mentioned in the introduction, you can shape the cookies as you like. I used a round scalloped cutter, but you can make them any shape you prefer. To get them this thick, I rolled the dough out without making it too thin.

To speed up the process, you can also pinch off small pieces of dough from the ball and shape them into a simple ball, which you will gently flatten once placed on the baking sheet.

Preheat the oven to the static mode, and once at temperature, 350°F, bake for about 13 minutes.

The cookies will stay fresh for two or three days in a tin or an airtight glass cookie jar.

Hello, I'm Simona, and my page is called BriCciola in cucina, because I dedicated it to my mom and dad, who have called me that since I was little. I'm not a chef, and in my life, I've always dealt with completely different things, but cooking, along with dancing, has always been one of my great passions. However, my greatest inspiration came from the dishes prepared first by my grandmother and now by my mom. Here on my cooking blog, I'll guide you from appetizers to desserts, with recipes designed for a healthy and mindful lifestyle. Balanced dishes, carefully chosen ingredients, and lots of flavors, because eating well never means giving up pleasure. I love eating, but I also like taking care of my health, my family's health, and, in a way, the health of everyone who tries my recipes. That's why daily life should be rich in flavor, but always with a focus on healthy eating. Thank you, I look forward to seeing you.
