Ingredients

Here are the simple ingredients needed to make them

  • 0.7 oz sugar
  • 4 peaches
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 5.3 oz plain yogurt
  • 0.7 oz milk
  • 1.4 oz vegetable oil
  • 1.1 cups flour
  • A few drops almond essence
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • 1 tsp liqueur (for desserts)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 3 tsp jam
  • 1 egg

Tools

No special tools are needed, just a bowl, a fork to mix, and a small pot to cook the fruit

Steps

Let’s prepare the peach compote and the batter

  • First, take the 4 peaches, peel them and after cutting them, place them in a pot with enough water to cover them. Add a teaspoon of honey.

Cook the fruit over low heat and once it’s soft and cooked, turn off the stove and set it aside. Once it has cooled, add two/three teaspoons of your favorite jam to the fruit. I used plum jam

Now let’s prepare the batter. In a bowl, crack an egg and add the 20g of sugar. Mix with a fork and then add the pinch of salt and all other liquid ingredients.

Once the liquids are combined, add baking powder and flour. Mix well until you get a homogeneous batter.

  • Let’s prepare the treats and bake

For convenience, I used a muffin tin where I placed paper liners inside. You can simply grease and flour the tin without necessarily using paper liners like mine.

Use a spoon to pour a small amount of batter into the liner or tin, add the fruit compote we prepared and cover with another portion of batter, leveling a bit on the surface to seal the treat and prevent peaches and juice from leaking.

We’re ready to preheat the oven to 340/350 degrees Fahrenheit (static) and bake the treats for about 25/28 minutes.

Always do the toothpick test before removing from the oven.

Ready to taste? I wish you a good preparation and bon appétit

Tips for the peach heart treats

It’s preferable to store the treats in the fridge, due to the presence of fruit inside, which, even if cooked, I always keep cool in the fridge.

Hello, I'm Simona, and my page is called BriCciola in cucina, because I dedicated it to my mom and dad, who have called me that since I was little. I'm not a chef, and in my life, I've always dealt with completely different things, but cooking, along with dancing, has always been one of my great passions. However, my greatest inspiration came from the dishes prepared first by my grandmother and now by my mom. Here on my cooking blog, I'll guide you from appetizers to desserts, with recipes designed for a healthy and mindful lifestyle. Balanced dishes, carefully chosen ingredients, and lots of flavors, because eating well never means giving up pleasure. I love eating, but I also like taking care of my health, my family's health, and, in a way, the health of everyone who tries my recipes. That's why daily life should be rich in flavor, but always with a focus on healthy eating. Thank you, I look forward to seeing you.
