Ingredients
- 1.3 lbs carrots
- 4 cloves garlic
- to taste fine salt
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Tools
- 1 Vegetable Peeler
- 1 Knife
- 1 Pan
Steps
Take the carrots, wash and peel them with a vegetable peeler.
Slice them into rounds and place in the pan.
If you use a non-stick pan, you can do like me and not add any oil, keeping the cooking even healthier.
Also take the garlic cloves, clean and chop them into small pieces.
The garlic will impart flavor and aroma to this easy yet appetizing dish.
Cook for five minutes over medium heat, then add a little water and salt.
The carrots will be ready after about 15/20 minutes, but cooking can be adjusted to taste.
Taste and if you like them crunchier, adjust the cooking time accordingly.
When ready, add extra virgin olive oil.
The carrots will have absorbed the garlic’s aroma and will be truly delightful and appetizing.
Serve as a side dish or as a seasoning for a main dish like couscous or black rice.
I can only wish you a good appetite.
Tips on Storing Sautéed Carrots
