Savory Radicchio Tart

The savory radicchio tart is a dish you can enjoy as a main course or serve at a buffet with appetizers and delicious treats.

I made this tart by creating a puff pastry shell which I then filled with vegetables and other ingredients.

Ingredients

Let’s look at the ingredients needed for the recipe

  • 18 oz radicchio
  • to taste Taggiasca olives (or another type)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • to taste fine salt
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste pine nuts
  • 4 walnuts
  • 3.5 oz ricotta
  • 1 oz grated parmesan

Tools

  • 1 Baking Pan
  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Steps

  • First, wash and cut the radicchio. Take a saucepan and put it inside. Add two garlic cloves, and slice one after removing the core.

Add the olives of your choice, extra virgin olive oil, salt, a splash of water and cook.

It will take about ten minutes to be ready.

  • Once ready, transfer it to a mixing bowl, add the ricotta and grated parmesan. Mix the ingredients well and set aside for a moment.

In the meantime, let’s work on the tart base. I made my own crazy dough, click the link if you want to make it ➡️ CRAZY DOUGH. If you prefer, you can also use the ready-made one from the supermarket.

Roll it out in the baking pan, poke the bottom a bit and place the radicchio filling on top, prepared earlier.

  • Before baking, add pine nuts and some walnut halves on top.

Preheat the oven to fan mode and once it reaches 356°F, bake for about 30 minutes. Adjust based on the pastry used.

Remove from the oven and enjoy your savory radicchio tart.

How to store the radicchio tart?

Hello, I'm Simona, and my page is called BriCciola in cucina, because I dedicated it to my mom and dad, who have called me that since I was little. I'm not a chef, and in my life, I've always dealt with completely different things, but cooking, along with dancing, has always been one of my great passions. However, my greatest inspiration came from the dishes prepared first by my grandmother and now by my mom. Here on my cooking blog, I'll guide you from appetizers to desserts, with recipes designed for a healthy and mindful lifestyle. Balanced dishes, carefully chosen ingredients, and lots of flavors, because eating well never means giving up pleasure. I love eating, but I also like taking care of my health, my family's health, and, in a way, the health of everyone who tries my recipes. That's why daily life should be rich in flavor, but always with a focus on healthy eating. Thank you, I look forward to seeing you.
