Sea Bass with Garlic and Parsley

in

Hello everyone, today I want to tell you about my quick and easy recipe. When I didn’t know how to cook fish and my mom used to make it, I always thought it was a daunting task, but no, you’ll see, it’s very simple. Sea bass is a delicious fish on its own, and when I prepare it, I try to add as little seasoning as possible to enhance its original flavor. I usually prepare it ‘al verde,’ or simply boiled or baked. What do you say, shall we take a look at the recipe? Follow me, and let’s make it together.

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Medium
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 2
  • Cooking methods: Slow Fire
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

Let’s see what we need to prepare it.

  • sea bass (about 1.3-1.5 lbs)
  • 1 glass white wine
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped or leaves as you prefer)
  • 2 cloves garlic (I put it whole and finely chopped)
  • as needed water (for cooking the fish)
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • as needed salt
  • as needed lemon

Steps

Let’s prepare our fantastic fish.

  • First, rinse the fish and remove any remaining scales. If your fish market has done a good job, or rather a good cleaning, you won’t find any. Now take the sea bass and place it in a pan, and as shown in the picture, add parsley and finely chopped garlic inside. This way, it will be better flavored. I put the other whole garlic in the pan.

  • At this point, I add a little more parsley to the pan, a drizzle of oil over the fish, salt, and turn on the stove. Now I pour the glass of white wine, let it evaporate, and add water to cover it. Our sea bass is ready for cooking. After about 15/20 minutes, check it. You’ll see that the flesh starts to become white and tender, which means it’s cooked. If in doubt, leave it for another 2/3 minutes, no more. Obviously, this is for a fish weighing about 1.3 lbs, if it’s larger, cook it longer.

  • Plate it and season with another drizzle of raw extra virgin olive oil and, if you like, some lemon. Enjoy your meal

Hello, I'm Simona, and my page is called BriCciola in cucina, because I dedicated it to my mom and dad, who have called me that since I was little. I'm not a chef, and in my life, I've always dealt with completely different things, but cooking, along with dancing, has always been one of my great passions. However, my greatest inspiration came from the dishes prepared first by my grandmother and now by my mom. Here on my cooking blog, I'll guide you from appetizers to desserts, with recipes designed for a healthy and mindful lifestyle. Balanced dishes, carefully chosen ingredients, and lots of flavors, because eating well never means giving up pleasure. I love eating, but I also like taking care of my health, my family's health, and, in a way, the health of everyone who tries my recipes. That's why daily life should be rich in flavor, but always with a focus on healthy eating. Thank you, I look forward to seeing you.
