Turkey Slices with Orange

in

The orange turkey slices are a light and fragrant second course, perfect when you have little time but want to serve something tasty.

The meat will remain tender and delicate, enhanced by the orange juice that gives a fresh and slightly citrusy note, creating a soft and aromatic sauce.

Good morning everyone and welcome back. Today I leave you with a recipe so simple yet delicious.

It will win over adults and children.

Nothing easier than preparing turkey slices, which with the right tricks will become a super second course that will make your mouth water.

I love all citrus fruits in general, but oranges are irreplaceable.

Since I was a little girl, I’ve always drunk freshly squeezed juice with meals.

Yes, because I don’t drink juice in the morning but during lunch or dinner.

With these premises, could I not create a dish that included their use? Absolutely not.

These slices will remain so soft and creamy that it will be impossible not to make them again, and honestly, even though I love a healthy lifestyle, my food must not lack taste.

Ingredients

Let’s see what we need for this recipe:

  • 1 lbs turkey (slices)
  • 3 tbsps all-purpose flour (for dusting the slices)
  • 1 cup white wine (200/250 ml)
  • 3 oranges (3 medium-sized oranges to squeeze)
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil (for the pan)
  • to taste salt
  • 2.6 tbsps water (a couple of finger widths in a glass)

Tools

  • 1 Pan
  • 1 Citrus Juicer
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 Glass Pitcher glass measuring cup

Steps

Let’s prepare the turkey.

  • First, take the oranges and squeeze them, then set aside

  • Take the turkey slices and coat both sides with flour.

Meanwhile, we have already greased the pan for cooking.

I only greased the pan to make the dish less browned. If you prefer, you can add a little more oil as you are used to.

  • Now that the turkey is in the pan, we let it brown on both sides, and when a nice crust has formed, we are ready to add the rest of the ingredients.

Increase the heat under the pan, take the white wine and deglaze.

Once the wine has evaporated, add the orange juice and just a couple of tablespoons of water.

Salt it, cover the pan, lower the heat, and let it go until the turkey is cooked.

Occasionally turn the slices in the pan.

When cooking is finished, you’ll see how flavorful your cooking liquid is, but especially how creamy it is.

Storage of Orange Turkey Slices

If you have leftover orange turkey slices, let them cool completely after cooking.

Place them in an airtight container, preferably with their sauce to keep them soft.

They keep in the refrigerator for 1–2 days.

When ready to eat, heat them in a pan or microwave at low power, adding a tablespoon of water or orange juice if needed.

Hello, I'm Simona, and my page is called BriCciola in cucina, because I dedicated it to my mom and dad, who have called me that since I was little. I'm not a chef, and in my life, I've always dealt with completely different things, but cooking, along with dancing, has always been one of my great passions. However, my greatest inspiration came from the dishes prepared first by my grandmother and now by my mom. Here on my cooking blog, I'll guide you from appetizers to desserts, with recipes designed for a healthy and mindful lifestyle. Balanced dishes, carefully chosen ingredients, and lots of flavors, because eating well never means giving up pleasure. I love eating, but I also like taking care of my health, my family's health, and, in a way, the health of everyone who tries my recipes. That's why daily life should be rich in flavor, but always with a focus on healthy eating. Thank you, I look forward to seeing you.
