Chocolate nests are delicious and easy to make, a perfect idea for Easter celebrations. The nests are made with only three ingredients, require no cooking, and bring joy to our tables. They can be made with the little ones, and I’m sure they will have a blast! They are also beautiful as a gift idea, just package them with transparent paper and colorful ribbons. I used dark chocolate to make the nests, but milk chocolate is also fine. Now let’s see how to make them!

Break the chocolate into pieces in a bowl, and melt it in the microwave or a double boiler. Once the chocolate is melted, add the hazelnuts, preferably toasted and coarsely chopped. Add the whole almonds, but they can also be coarsely chopped if desired.
Mix the ingredients well, then prepare a muffin pan with the paper liners inside. Now pour the chocolate and nut mixture. Use two spoons to create a small cavity in the center.
Wait a few minutes and place the colorful small eggs in the center, let the chocolate nests dry. It will take about 2 to 3 hours, but if you want to shorten the drying time, just put them in the fridge for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove them from the liners only when they are completely dry… Enjoy your treat!

Storage and Variations of Chocolate Nests
The chocolate nests can be stored under a glass bell jar for a week and can be made with any type of chocolate, but white chocolate takes longer to firm up. Be careful not to pour too much chocolate into each liner to avoid creating overly tall nests. If desired, nuts can be replaced with cereal, puffed rice is also perfect.
