  • To prepare the easy Halloween cookies recipe, place the flour in a large bowl, add the cold butter cut into small pieces, and start kneading with your hands.

  • Then add the whole egg and an egg yolk with 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, finally the powdered sugar and a pinch of salt. Knead all the ingredients until you create a nice soft dough. Roll out the shortbread on a sheet of parchment paper and create a sheet about 1/5 inch thick, cover it with plastic wrap, and place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

  • After the time has passed, remove the shortbread from the fridge and cut out the Halloween cookies. I made many cute pumpkins, but you can vary with other shapes.
