Bake in the oven at 392°F (200°C) for about 15–20 minutes; they should become nicely golden. Remember that baking times are indicative, adjust according to your oven. Meanwhile, whip the cream with a teaspoon of vanilla and the pink or red food coloring, as needed.
When the cream is whipped to stiff peaks, transfer it into a piping bag. Remove the puff pastry hearts from the oven and let them cool, then take one heart as the base and decorate it with the cream, gently place another puff pastry heart on top and you’re done. Decorate with a small dollop of cream and a sugar heart.
