Sweet Shortcrust Pizza Ingredients

For two pizzas about 10 inches

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Half tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup strawberries
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • as needed marshmallows
  • as needed chocolate chips

Tools

  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Pizza Cutter
  • 1 Cookie Cutter
  • 1 Mixer

Sweet Shortcrust Pizza Steps

  • In a large mixing bowl, pour the flour together with the butter cut into pieces, add the sugar, vanilla extract, half a teaspoon of baking powder, and start kneading with your hands.

  • Once a sandy mixture is formed, add the eggs and a pinch of salt, kneading until a smooth dough ball is obtained. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes in the fridge. Then, take the dough and roll it out on a sheet of parchment paper to create a thin layer. Cut out a disc about 10 inches in diameter, I used a springform cake pan.
After creating the disc, use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into 8 pieces and transfer the shortcrust with all the parchment paper onto a baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 350°F for 15 minutes.

  • In the meantime, prepare the strawberries: Wash them, remove the leaves and blend them, add the powdered sugar and mix well. Now just fill the shortcrust with the blended strawberries.

  • Take the marshmallows, break them into pieces and decorate the pizza together with the chocolate chips.

  • Back in the oven for 5 minutes and our shortcrust pizza is ready to be enjoyed. Perfect for any party, it’s the joy of the little ones… Enjoy!
