This blackberry and blueberry ice cream is fa-bu-lous! And that’s all I have to say. End of introduction.
😀
Ha ha, just kidding! Of course, I haven’t said everything. I will tell you all about it, as always!
And I’ll start by saying that I wasn’t planning to make ice cream at all.
The initial, firm plan was to use the blackberries and blueberries to make a dessert. My daughter and her friend Agnese had picked the blackberries, and they were the last ones left after most of them, picked in three hours of hard work under the scorching sun, had been eaten one after the other, while others had been turned into the topping of a cream tart. This one:
created by Flavia, Agnese, and her mom, my friend Lucia.
We all know that blackberries don’t last long, so I hurried to put them in the pan and cook them, intending to use them the next day to recreate the classic blackberry tarts from a few years ago, or to use them in the reproduction of the three-person tart mentioned above.
At that moment, I remembered I had the blueberries in the fridge, bought three days before, so I added them to the pan.
Great idea to buy the blueberries, and especially great to forget them in the fridge, because they turned out to be perfect together with the blackberries for making this – which turned out to be fa-bu-lous – blackberry and blueberry ice cream.
This is what happens when you see such a beautiful juice…
…how can you resist the urge to have a snack with yogurt and cream ice cream with blackberry-blueberry flavor?
There’s nothing more delicious or more suitable for these super hot days.
A whole ice cream maker full, we finished it off in five minutes!
