Light Treats with Only 3 Ingredients: Pear, Oats, Raisins

Are you ready for the new Light and Tasty appointment? Ingredient of the day: pears, which I used to make light treats with only 3 ingredients and surprisingly good. 🙂

They are… how to call them… little cookies, cookies, snacks, bonbons, treats… soft inside and crunchy outside, completely fat-free and sugar-free, made only with pears, rolled oats and raisins (specifically the homemade dried grapes, proudly, by me).

I warn you right away that this is not a haute pastry recipe (haha! essential clarification!), but simply light treats, indeed truly diet-friendly, undeniably healthy, and super easy to make. And so good that even my family jury, today composed of the two very strict men in the house, who not only do not love diet things but also don’t like pears, enjoyed them! 😄

The idea for this recipe I found here – a beautiful American blog of very interesting healthy recipes – and apart from the fact that I replaced bananas with pears, and chocolate chips with raisins (not bad for a 3-ingredient recipe 😃)… I immediately fell in love with this no-fuss recipe (oops, can you say no-fuss? 😊), which is definitely for me!
And I promise I will also make the version with bananas!!!

🌞 Ideas for other simple treats: 👇

light treats with 3 ingredients
  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 15 pieces
  • Cooking methods: Electric Oven
  • Cuisine: Healthy
  • Seasonality: All Seasons

Ingredients for 15 pieces

  • 1 pear (about 7 oz)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Tools

  • Blender / Mixer Termozeta 76011

Preparation

  • Making these light treats is really simple.

Peel the pear, cut it into pieces and blend it with a small food processor or chopper (mine is this one) along with the rolled oats.

You get a coarse mixture (pear reduced to pulp and semi-chopped rolled oats):

    blended pear and oats
  • Add the raisins (I cut mine into pieces because my dried grapes are large) and mix with a spoon:

    adding raisins
  • Spoon out portions of the mixture onto a baking tray covered with parchment paper using a teaspoon (or tablespoon if you want larger and fewer treats).

To achieve treats like brutti ma buoni, you can leave the heaps irregular, otherwise, you can form balls or small sticks by shaping them with your hands or with two teaspoons. Alternatively, press each portion with the back of a spoon to get a thin treat, like a cookie, as shown in the following photos, here before baking:

  • And here just out of the oven:

  • For baking: oven at 350°F for a variable time of 20 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the treats and their moisture level (due to the juiciness of the pear).

Just out of the oven, they are soft inside and crunchy outside, the crunchy crust is very pleasant.

They are excellent even cold, although they lose the surface crunchiness, but remain a great snack, ideal as a diet-friendly snack. 😉

    Some possible variations:

Adding just 10 grams of coconut flour (or shredded coconut) turns them into 4-ingredient treats but it’s a variation worth a try, I liked it a lot.

Other additions or substitutions, such as chocolate chips instead of raisins or the addition of chopped hazelnuts, almonds, or walnuts, are surely excellent (I still have to test them but I will).

Finally: I will try the version with a banana, I already sign up for when Light and Tasty organizes an outing dedicated to bananas! 😃

  • For those interested in the WW Propoints diet:

When on a diet, it is very important to satisfy the sweet tooth without guilt. 😊 For each treat, I calculated 0.4 points, considering making 15 pieces (or 0.5 points by adding 10 g of shredded coconut to the mixture).
