Strawberry Sauce for Desserts and Ice Creams

Hey, did you know this strawberry sauce is the easiest recipe in the world? And yes, I know quite a few easy recipes, but this one really beats them all! 😃

And it’s deliciooooouuus!

I’m not sure if a simple strawberry sauce like this is also called a coulis. Who among you knows the real, I mean the real, technical details of a coulis? Can you tell me? As far as I know, the “original” strawberry coulis requires cooking. Is that right? And then it needs to be strained. Is that right?

Anyway, well, I didn’t do either one. I was in a hurry to proceed (ehhh will I ever stop making birthday cakes in a rush???), and I have a certain aversion to straining, all that pulp left in the strainer, all those nice fibers, all that good flavor… why ever deprive yourself, I say…
So I simply did this: I put the strawberries and powdered sugar in the blender glass and blended, that’s it.
Then I used this beautiful strawberry sauce, with its bright color and wonderful intense aroma, in a dessert (a birthday one, of course) which I will talk about in the next recipe.

If you don’t have any birthdays coming up, make this strawberry sauce anyway! It’s a very versatile sauce, it can be used to decorate all kinds of spoon desserts, but I also see it well on a nice slice of bundt cake or a muffin.

And it’s amazing on ice cream (cream or vanilla is its perfect match), or you can add it to yogurt, or kefir.

Yes yes, the kefir, which, as you know, is produced daily here at my house, and every day I discover new ingredients, and ways, and combinations, to enrich it and make it tasty, and with the strawberry sauce, I like it a lot.

Have I convinced you to make my strawberry sauce? I believe so! 😋
