Baked pasta is a tasty and rich first course, irresistible and easy to make.
Perfect as a fridge cleaner, it is essentially pasta with sauce enriched with cheeses and cold cuts and baked in the oven, tasty and crunchy, also perfect as a one-dish meal, for Sunday lunch or a dinner with friends.

Ingredients
- 1.1 lbs pasta
- 28 oz tomato puree
- 2 eggs
- 5.6 oz mortadella * (in one piece)
- 4.6 oz salami * (in one piece)
- 7 oz provola *
- 4.6 oz mozzarella *
- 7 oz Parmesan
- 1 onion
- 1 clove garlic
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
* you can also use other types of cold cuts or cheeses, depending on what you have at home or what you like
Preparation of Baked Pasta
Place the eggs in a saucepan of cold water and cook for nine minutes from boiling point.
Drain and peel them while still warm, then set aside.
Chop a small onion and peel the garlic clove.Place them in a large pan with a bit of extra virgin olive oil and cook for fifteen minutes, adding a little water to prevent burning.
Add the tomato puree, salt, and cook for another thirty minutes on low heat, until the sauce has reduced.
Bring a pot full of water to the boil for cooking the pasta.
While it comes to a boil, slice the eggs, and dice the salami, mortadella, and provola.Drain the mozzarella and slice it.
Cook the pasta for half the time indicated on the package, salting the cooking water.
Drain it and toss it with the prepared sauce, the cold cuts, and the diced provola, mixing thoroughly.
Pour half into a large baking dish, cover with half the egg slices, and sprinkle with some grated Parmesan.Add the rest of the pasta, cover with the mozzarella, the remaining eggs, and sprinkle with Parmesan.
Bake in a static oven at 392°F for fifteen minutes, then switch to grill mode for a few more minutes, until the desired level of browning is reached.
Serve your baked pasta immediately.
