Baked Tagliatelle Nests

Baked tagliatelle nests are a delightful first course that is very easy to prepare.

Starting with ready-made Bolognese sauce, perhaps because you cooked it in abundance the day before, or prepared it specifically for the tagliatelle nests, with a few other ingredients and starting from raw pasta, which will cook directly in the oven with a small trick, you will have a perfect first course for holidays or to make a family or friends’ lunch or dinner special.

Ingredients

  • 21 oz Bolognese sauce
  • 7 oz tagliatelle nests
  • 5 oz mozzarella
  • grana cheese (grated)

Preparation of Baked Tagliatelle Nests

  • Cut the mozzarella into chunks.
Place a few ladles of Bolognese sauce on the bottom of a large baking dish.
Place the tagliatelle nests directly on the sauce without pre-cooking them, arranging them close together without leaving empty spaces.

  • Cover the tagliatelle with all the remaining Bolognese sauce and then sprinkle the mozzarella chunks on top.
Sprinkle generously with grated grana cheese and cover the baking dish with a sheet of aluminum foil, sealing it well at the edges (the steam trapped by the foil will help the pasta cook).

  • Bake in a preheated fan oven at 356°F for thirty minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another ten minutes or so, until a crispy crust forms on top.
Remove from the oven and serve your baked tagliatelle nests hot.
