  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Christmas

Ingredients

  • 6 chocolate stick cookies (like Mikado)
  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate
  • 3.5 oz white chocolate
  • colorful sprinkles

Preparation of Chocolate Trees on a Stick

  • Chop the dark chocolate and melt it in a double boiler or in the microwave.
Chop the white chocolate as well and melt it.
Place the cookies on a sheet of wax paper or parchment paper, keeping them well spaced out.

  • Put the two types of chocolate in a disposable piping bag (or you can drizzle them with a teaspoon).
Use the melted dark chocolate to create tree branches starting from the tip of the cookie.
Create smaller branches with the white chocolate over the dark chocolate.

  • Sprinkle the chocolate trees on a stick with colorful sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.
Let the chocolate dry completely (it is fully dry when you can lift it from the paper without leaving any “marks”) and serve.
