Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup coffee
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Preparation of Coffee Shortcrust Pastry
In a large bowl, mix the flour with the unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder.
Add the softened butter cut into pieces and start kneading until you get a crumbly mixture.Add the cold coffee and the egg, and knead firmly, until your dough is smooth and homogeneous.
Form a dough ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let your coffee shortcrust pastry rest in the refrigerator for at least thirty minutes.
Use it to make cookies, pies, and shortcrust pastries.
