Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 2 3/4 tsp baking powder (half sachet)
- 1 sachet vanillin
- 12 oz jam (of your choice)
Preparation of the Crumble Cake with Jam
In a large bowl, put the flour, sugar, vanillin, and baking powder and mix them.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the vegetable oil and egg, and start kneading until you get a crumbly (not compact) dough.Line a 9.5-inch diameter cake pan with parchment paper.
Pour in two-thirds of the dough, compacting it on the bottom and sides to make it uniform.
Pour the jam into the prepared crust, leveling it with the back of a spoon.Sprinkle the remaining crumbly dough over the jam, trying to cover it completely.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for about thirty minutes, until golden.
Remove from the oven and let your crumble cake with jam cool completely before transferring it to a serving plate or tray and serving.
