Fennel with Cheese

Fennel with cheese is a tasty side dish that is very easy to make.

With few ingredients and lots of flavor, they can be prepared in no time and are perfect for eating something lighter without sacrificing taste. Fennel is very versatile in the kitchen and can be used to prepare many tasty side dishes, perfect both with meat and fish, such as Mediterranean fennel or roasted fennel.

Ingredients

  • 2 fennel
  • 1/4 cup pecorino cheese (grated)
  • 1/4 cup grana cheese (grated)
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparation of Fennel with Cheese

  • Wash the fennel, cut the base, stems, and fronds, then slice them into thin wedges.
    Gather everything in a bowl and season with a bit of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt.
    Mix thoroughly yet gently, and add the grated cheeses.

  • Mix again.
    Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the fennel in a single layer without overlapping them.
    Drizzle with a little olive oil.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F (180°C) for about twenty minutes, switching to grill mode in the last few minutes to brown them.
    Serve your fennel with cheese hot or warm, according to your taste.
