  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 7 oz sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 7 oz all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (strained)
  • orange zest (zest of one orange)
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • powdered sugar (for decoration)

How to Prepare the Fluffy Orange Bundt Cake

  • Wash the orange, dry it well, and grate the zest.

    Squeeze the orange juice.

  • Separate the egg yolks from the whites.

Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the yolks with the sugar and beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the vegetable oil and the orange juice and zest.

  • Fold in the sifted flour and baking powder.

Gently fold in the beaten egg whites using a spatula, moving from bottom to top.

Grease and flour a 9-inch diameter bundt cake pan and pour in the prepared batter.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for thirty-five to forty minutes: after thirty minutes from when you started baking the cake, test with a toothpick, which should come out dry when inserted into the cake; otherwise, extend the baking time.

Remove from oven, let cool completely, and decorate your fluffy orange bundt cake with powdered sugar as desired before serving.
