Grandma’s pastina in broth is a tasty and nutritious hot first course, light and easy to prepare.

Ingredients
- 10.5 oz pastina (your preferred type)
- 1 potato
- 1 carrot
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsps tomato sauce
- grated cheese
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
Preparation of grandma’s pastina in broth
Peel the potato, cut it into chunks, and put it in a small pot.
Peel the carrot, cut it into pieces, and add it to the potato. Wash the celery stalk and add it cut into pieces along with the peeled onion.Cover everything with cold water, add a pinch of salt and the tomato sauce, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and bring everything to the stove.
Bring to a boil and let it cook for twenty minutes, then strain the broth, setting aside the vegetables (you can serve them as a side dish).Cook the pastina in the strained broth for the cooking time indicated on the package.
Serve your grandma’s pastina in broth, sprinkling it with grated cheese as desired.
