Grilled Mackerel Fillets

The grilled mackerel fillets are a delightful dish made with fresh fish, a cold and tasty summer dish.

The fish fillets are first cooked on the grill and then marinated with a few simple ingredients, becoming a perfect, fresh, light, and healthy dish, ideal for summer, on the hottest days, for lunch or dinner, or to impress your guests.

Ingredients

  • 8 mackerel fillets
  • 3.4 fl oz lemon juice
  • 1 lemon (organic)
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • parsley
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation of Grilled Mackerel Fillets

  • Slice the lemon and then cut each slice in half. Clean the parsley with damp paper towels and chop it. In a glass, prepare an emulsion with the 3.4 fl oz of lemon juice, 1.7 fl oz of extra virgin olive oil, the teaspoon of white wine vinegar, the chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.

  • Heat a grill.

    Brush a bit of extra virgin olive oil on the skinless sides of the mackerel fillets and place them on the grill, oiled side down, for one or two minutes.

    Flip them to the skin side, cover with a lid, and let them cook for another five minutes.

  • Place them in a baking dish and cover with the prepared emulsion, some lemon slices, and if necessary, finish with another drizzle of oil.

    Let them marinate for at least an hour before serving your grilled mackerel fillets.
