The jam and amaretti filled tart is a homemade dessert made with simple ingredients and very indulgent.
A crisp shortcrust pastry shell enclosing a soft, delicious filling enriched by the intense flavor of amaretti: a tart with a bold yet harmonious character, perfect for after a meal or as a snack, rustic but elegant.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup unsalted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 1/3 cups red fruit jam
- 12 amaretti
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Preparation of the jam and amaretti filled tart
In a large bowl, mix the flour and sugar.
Add the butter cut into pieces and work the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Add the egg and continue to knead until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
Form a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.After this time, divide the dough into two portions and roll each into a disk.
Line the bottom and sides of an 8–9 in (20–22 cm) diameter tart pan with one disk and spread the jam evenly over the base.
Arrange the amaretti on top of the jam, then cover everything with the second dough disk and seal the edges well by pressing with your fingers to close them (if you press them with the tines of a fork you will obtain the striped effect you see in the photo).Use a skewer to make a few holes on the surface of the tart.
Bake in a preheated conventional oven at 356°F for about twenty minutes, until golden.
Remove from the oven and allow your jam and amaretti filled tart to cool completely before transferring it to a serving plate or tray.
Decorate with plenty of powdered sugar and serve.
