Mediterranean Salad

The Mediterranean salad is an irresistible cold dish, easy to make and full of flavor.

A true unique dish perfect for the hottest summer days, rich in Mediterranean flavors and perhaps to be enjoyed with a slice of good homemade bread, it is a really easy and quick salad to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 4 eggs
  • 11.3 oz canned tuna in oil
  • 5.3 oz cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 red onion
  • 2.1 oz black olives (pitted)
  • white wine vinegar
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation of the Mediterranean salad

  • Place the eggs in a small pot, cover them with water and put the pot on the stove.
    Let them cook for seven minutes from the boiling point, then remove the eggs with a slotted spoon, place them in a bowl under the faucet and keep them under cold running water to cool and stop the cooking.
    Peel and slice them.

  • Clean the onion, slice it into rings, place it in a small bowl and add a tablespoon of white wine vinegar, then enough cold water to cover it and set aside.
    Clean the lettuce and dry it.
    Place it in a bowl.

  • Wash the cherry tomatoes, cut them in half or wedges depending on their size, and add them to the lettuce.
    Clean the cucumbers and slice them, drain the tuna from the oil and add everything to the salad bowl, along with the olives, drained onions, and egg slices.
    Season with extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper, mix gently, and serve your Mediterranean salad.
