Pan-Seared Chicken Breast

The pan-seared chicken breast is a tasty and easy-to-prepare meat dish.

Tender, juicy, and well-cooked directly in the pan, seasoned even just with its thickened cooking juices, a perfect second course for the whole family, for lunch or dinner, ready in half an hour, tasty and inviting, to be served with a side of salad or potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1.3 lbs chicken breast (whole)
  • lemon juice (from two lemons)
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • rosemary
  • salt

Preparation of Pan-Seared Chicken Breast

  • Prepare the marinade for the chicken.
    Squeeze the juice of two lemons and pour it into a bowl. While whisking, gradually add the extra virgin olive oil to create an emulsion.
    Add a pinch of salt and two sprigs of rosemary.

  • Cut the chicken breast in half and place it in the bowl with the prepared emulsion.
    Let it marinate for thirty minutes.
    At the end of the indicated time, heat a non-stick pan over the fire, then place the chicken in the pan.
    Brown it on all sides, then let it cook for about twenty minutes, gradually adding some of the marinade to cook the chicken.

  • When it is cooked, transfer it to a serving dish and add the rest of the marinade to the pan to reduce and create a sauce for your pan-seared chicken breast.
    Slice the chicken and serve it hot with the cooking juices and a bit of rosemary.
