Ingredients
- 2 slices pandoro (*see details in the recipe preparation)
- 7 oz mascarpone
- 3/4 cup whipping cream
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar (+ extra for decorating the star)
Pandoro Star Preparation
You will need two slices of pandoro cut horizontally to a thickness of about 1 1/4 inches from the base of the pandoro itself.
In a large bowl, pour in the mascarpone and the cream, both well chilled from the refrigerator, add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, and whip everything with electric beaters until you obtain a thick and compact cream.Place the larger slice of pandoro on a serving plate.
Pour the prepared cream over the slice, leveling it to a thickness similar to the pandoro slices, keeping slightly away from the edges.Cover with the other slice of pandoro, pressing gently and delicately to make it adhere to the cream.
With a spatula, level the edges of the cream, especially at the tips.
Sprinkle liberally with powdered sugar and serve your pandoro star.
