Pizza toasts are delightful finger food appetizers that are easy and quick to prepare.
Perfect for accompanying an aperitif, for unexpected guests, they’re tasty, full of flavor, and incredibly easy to prepare, with few ingredients often available at home.

Ingredients
- 8 slices white bread
- 2/3 cup tomato sauce
- 4 cherry tomatoes
- 3.5 oz mozzarella cheese for pizza (shredded)
- oregano
- basil
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
Preparation of Pizza Toast
Put the tomato sauce in a small bowl and season it with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of dried oregano, and a pinch of salt.
Cut the slices of white bread diagonally to divide each slice into two triangles (if you stack them on top of each other and cut carefully, they won’t crumble).Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and dress them with some seasoned sauce.
Distribute the mozzarella over the sauce.
Wash the cherry tomatoes, slice them, and place them on the white bread triangles.Finish with a bit more oregano and a drizzle of oil.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F for fifteen minutes, until golden.
Finish your pizza toasts by sprinkling them with some fresh basil leaves and serve them.
