Puff Pastry Bows with Salmon

Puff pastry bows with salmon are a delightful appetizer, easy and quick to prepare.

With very few ingredients, easy and fast to make, without molds and almost zero hassle, it is one of the holiday puff pastry appetizers that are scenic and irresistible, perfect for dinners and lunches, at Christmas or New Year’s Eve, but also for a quick aperitif with friends during the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 3.5 oz smoked salmon
  • green olives (pitted)
  • 1 egg

Preparation of Puff Pastry Bows with Salmon

  • Unroll the puff pastry on a work surface and cut it into squares 2.75 inches per side.
    Place a little salmon in the center of each square then fold two opposite corners towards the center, making them meet, and cover them with a pitted green olive.

  • Place the puff pastry bows with salmon on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, keeping them spaced apart.
    In a small bowl, beat the egg with a fork and then brush it over the puff pastry bows.

  • Bake them in a preheated fan oven at 356°F for about fifteen minutes, until the desired level of golden brown is achieved.
    Remove them from the oven, let them cool, and serve.
