Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 5.6 oz fresh mozzarella bites
- 1 egg
- sesame seeds
- poppy seeds
Preparation of the Puff Pastry Tree with Mozzarella Bites
Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into squares of about 2 inches per side.
Drain the mozzarella bites well, pat them dry with a clean towel, and place one in the center of each puff pastry square, then close them and shape the pastry to form balls.Place the balls thus created (with the opening side facing down) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arranging them side by side to form a tree: you’ll have leftover pastry squares that you can roll up to create the trunk at the base of the tree.
Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the surface of the created tree.Sprinkle the surface of the puff pastry tree with mozzarella bites with sesame and poppy seeds.
Bake in a preheated fan-assisted oven at 356°F for about twenty minutes, until the desired golden brown level.
Serve hot and cheesy.
