Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry (fresh rectangular)
  • jam (or preserve of choice)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Preparation of Quick Puff Pastries with Jam

  • Turn on the oven in fan mode at 340°F to preheat it.
Unroll the puff pastry and spread a thin layer of the chosen jam or preserve on its surface, keeping a few inches away from the edges.

  • Roll it up starting from the long side towards the opposite side, tightening to form a roll.
With a sharp knife, starting from one end of the roll, make diagonal cuts in alternating directions to cut out triangles.

  • Use a skewer stick to press the center of the obtained triangles to shape the pastries, then place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Beat the egg yolk in a small bowl and brush it on the surface of the pastries.

  • Sprinkle them with brown sugar and bake them for about fifteen minutes, until golden.
Remove from the oven, let cool, and serve your quick puff pastries with jam.
