Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (fresh, rectangular)

  • parmesan (grated)
  • 1 egg yolk

Preparation of Rustic Salami and Cheese

  • Unroll the puff pastry, making sure to leave it on the parchment paper it comes with, and place it on a work surface.
Beat the egg yolk in a small bowl with a splash of water, then brush it over the entire pastry.
    Sprinkle with the grated parmesan.

  • Using kitchen scissors, cut the salami slices into small pieces and distribute them over the pastry.
Roll the filled puff pastry again starting from one of the longer sides and tightly.
With a smooth-edged knife, cut it into slices about half an inch thick.

  • Brush the sides of each roll with the remaining egg yolk and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, keeping them spaced apart.
Bake in a preheated fan oven at 375°F for twelve to fifteen minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and serve your rustic salami and cheese.
