Sandy Pumpkin

The sandy pumpkin is a tasty autumn side dish, easy to make and very appetizing.

Pumpkin is a typical autumn vegetable, with a delicately sweet and slightly bitter flavor, it easily pairs with numerous ingredients and is ideal as a side dish for meat, fish, egg, or cheese-based dishes.

Crunchy and flavorful pumpkin cubes with a soft heart, very quick to prepare, cooked in the oven, perfect for the whole family or for a dinner with friends.

Ingredients

  • 21.2 oz pumpkin flesh
  • breadcrumbs
  • grana cheese (grated)
  • rosemary
  • sage
  • thyme
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparation of the Sandy Pumpkin

  • Cut the pumpkin flesh into cubes.
    Place them in a bowl and season with a little extra virgin olive oil and salt, mixing thoroughly.

  • Add three tablespoons of grated grana cheese, three tablespoons of breadcrumbs, chopped rosemary, sage, and thyme.
    Mix well to thoroughly coat the pumpkin cubes, adding more grated grana cheese or breadcrumbs if necessary.

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the pumpkin cubes on it without overlapping.
    Bake in a preheated static oven at 392°F for thirty minutes, then switch to grill mode and cook for another five minutes.
    Remove from the oven and serve immediately, very hot, your sandy pumpkin.
