Ingredients

  • 1 slice white bread for sandwiches (rectangular)
  • 10 slices Milano salami
  • spreadable cheese

Preparation of Santa Claus Hats

  • Place the sandwich bread on your work surface and use a 1.5-inch diameter round cookie cutter to cut out 10 disks.
Soften the spreadable cheese by working it into a cream with a fork.
Spread one side of each bread disk with a layer of spreadable cheese.

  • Using kitchen scissors, make a cut from the edge to the center of each slice of salami. Take one of the edges thus created and roll it up to form a cone.
Place the salami cone on the cheese-spread bread disk, pressing gently to adhere.

  • Put a few spoonfuls of spreadable cheese in a pastry bag with a small star tip and create a tuft of cheese on the tip of the salami cone.
Store the Santa Claus hats in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
