Sautéed Radicchio

Sautéed radicchio is a tasty side dish, very easy and quick to prepare.

In no time, and with a few simple ingredients, you will have a perfect side dish to go with any type of dish, be it meat or fish, eggs, or cheese. Radicchio is a valuable ally for health, with its content of vitamins C, K, and B group, and of anthocyanins, iron, and beta-carotene. It helps to fight aging and lower blood cholesterol, as well as detoxify the body with its mild diuretic function, digestibility, and lightness.

Ingredients

  • 3 heads radicchio
  • 1 onion
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation of Sautéed Radicchio

  • Clean the radicchio by removing the damaged outer leaves and the core, wash it and cut it into strips.
    Chop the onion.

  • Heat some extra virgin olive oil in a large pan and let the chopped onion brown.

  • Add the radicchio and let it cook for five minutes over high heat, stirring occasionally.
    Adjust with salt and pepper and serve your sautéed radicchio.
