Skillet Caramelized Cherry Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 9 oz cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • oregano
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparing Skillet Caramelized Cherry Tomatoes

  • Wash the cherry tomatoes, dry them, and cut them in half.
    Peel the garlic cloves.

  • Heat a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet and sauté the garlic until golden.
    Add the cherry tomatoes, season with salt, and stir in the brown sugar.

  • Stir occasionally until they are soft and caramelized (it will take less than ten minutes).
    Turn off the heat, sprinkle with oregano to taste, remove the garlic cloves, and let them cool before serving your skillet caramelized cherry tomatoes.
