Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Half packet baking powder
- 1 lb 1 oz pears
- 3.5 oz dark chocolate
- 1.4 oz dark chocolate chips
Preparation of the Soft Pear and Chocolate Cake
Peel the pears, remove the core and seeds, and cut them into pieces.
Coarsely chop the dark chocolate.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with sugar using a whisk.Add the vegetable oil and milk, mix well, and add the flour and baking powder, mixing again.
When you have a smooth, lump-free mixture, add the pear cubes and chopped chocolate, and mix with a spatula to incorporate them into the batter.Grease and flour a 9.5-inch diameter cake pan and pour the prepared batter into it, leveling it.
Sprinkle the surface with dark chocolate chips and bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F for thirty-five to forty minutes, testing with a toothpick after the first half hour.
Remove from oven, let cool completely, and serve your soft pear and chocolate cake.
