Spoon cookies are delicious dipping cookies, easy and quick to make.
Their name comes from the fact that they are ‘formed’ with a spoon, without molds or cookie cutters, as a pasty mixture is prepared and scooped onto the baking sheet with a simple tablespoon, taking shape and form in the oven during baking.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup blanched almonds (finely chopped or almond flour)
- 3.5 oz butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ground cinnamon
Preparation of Spoon Cookies
In a large bowl, place the brown sugar and softened butter in pieces and mix with electric beaters until you get a cream. Incorporate the egg, still using the electric beaters, then add the finely chopped almonds (or almond flour) and the all-purpose flour.
Add a pinch of cinnamon and a teaspoon of baking powder, still using the beaters, and finally incorporate the milk in a thin stream. When you have obtained a homogeneous mixture, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Create your cookies by dropping a tablespoon of dough at a time onto the parchment paper, keeping the spoonfuls well spaced as they will grow during baking.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F in static mode for fifteen minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving or storing in a tin box, your spoon cookies.
