Stewed potatoes and peas are a hearty vegetable side dish, easy to make and very tasty.

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 lb potatoes
- 3 1/8 cups peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1 onion
- 1 glass white wine
- vegetable broth
- rosemary
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
- pepper
Preparation of stewed potatoes and peas
Thinly slice the onion.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into chunks.
In a pot heat a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and add the onion.Let it flavor for a few minutes and add a little broth to sweat the onion.
Add the potato chunks and stir to coat with flavor.
Deglaze with the wine, let the alcohol evaporate, add the rosemary and cover the potatoes with hot broth.
Cover the pot with a lid and bring to a boil, then lower the heat and let simmer for 15 minutes.Add the peas (fresh or frozen) and a little more broth, raise the heat and continue cooking for about 20 minutes, until the cooking liquid is thickened.
Adjust salt and pepper and serve your stewed potatoes and peas.
