Strega Tiramisu

in ,

Strega tiramisu is a delicious variation of tiramisu enriched by this delightful liqueur and made without raw eggs.

An elegant and contemporary reinterpretation of one of the most loved desserts of the Italian tradition: the aroma of Strega liqueur, with its herbal, spicy and slightly citrus notes, gives an irresistible flavour to this spectacular spoon dessert. A comforting dessert in which the sweetness of the cream intertwines with the unmistakable scent of the liqueur, creating a refined balance between tradition and innovation. Easy to make and perfect as an after-dinner treat.

In a large bowl prepare the cream by beating the mascarpone, the Strega and the cold heavy cream (straight from the fridge) with an electric whisk until you obtain a thick, compact mixture.

  • Assemble the Strega tiramisu: in a baking dish create a layer of ladyfingers quickly dipped in the Strega coffee, then cover with a layer of cream.

  • Make another layer of ladyfingers soaked in the Strega coffee and another layer with the remaining cream.
Put the tiramisu in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, then, at serving time, dust with unsweetened cocoa powder to taste.
