Ingredients
- 1.1 lbs ground meat (mixed)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grana cheese (grated)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 3.5 oz cooked ham
- 3.5 oz scamorza (sliced thinly)
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
Preparation of Stuffed Meat Swirls
Put the ground meat in a bowl with the grated cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, and a pinch of salt, and mix thoroughly.
Place a sheet of parchment paper on the work surface, pour the meat mixture on it, and cover it with another sheet of parchment paper.
Flatten the mixture with a rolling pin to form a rectangle about half an inch thick.Remove the top sheet of parchment paper and place the ham and thinly sliced scamorza on the meat.
Using the bottom parchment paper, roll the meat over the filling to form a log and press firmly on the edge to make it compact.Wrap the meat log in parchment paper and refrigerate for half an hour.
After this time, cut the log into slices about 1 to 1.5 inches thick, creating the stuffed meat swirls, and place them on a baking sheet lined with a lightly oiled piece of parchment paper.Finish with a drizzle of oil on the surface of the swirls and bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for about twenty-five minutes, until the meat is well cooked and the cheese melted.
Serve them immediately, nice and hot.
