Sweet Potato Chips

Sweet potato chips are a tasty, easy-to-make, and light snack, baked in the oven.

With few ingredients, simple, oven-baked, these chips have an irresistible taste thanks to the flavor of sweet potatoes, also known as American potatoes, and spices. They are light, oven-baked, and perfect for a break or a savory snack, or to enjoy with a homemade aperitif alone or with friends.

Ingredients

  • 4 sweet potatoes (or American potatoes)
  • thyme
  • paprika
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparation of Sweet Potato Chips

  • In a small bowl, mix a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, a teaspoon of paprika, a bit of thyme, and a generous pinch of salt with a fork until it forms an emulsion.

  • Wash the sweet potatoes well with the skin on and slice them thinly with a mandoline.
    Line a baking tray or oven pan with parchment paper.

  • With a kitchen brush, brush each sweet potato slice with the emulsion on both sides and place them on the parchment paper without overlapping.
    Bake your sweet potato chips in a preheated static oven at 392°F for twenty minutes, turning them halfway through cooking.
    Serve immediately, piping hot.
