Tomini in Puff Pastry

Tomini in puff pastry are a delicious appetizer or second course, easy and quick to prepare.

Three ingredients and a very simple preparation process for a tasty crunchy shell with a soft and stringy heart, perfect for any occasion, for lunch or dinner with family, for a dinner with friends, a simple and different dish from the usual, based on this delicate cheese typical of the Alps and the Piedmont area, flavorful and rich in taste.

Ingredients

  • 4 tomini
  • 2 rolls puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 1 egg
  • salt

Preparation of Tomini in Puff Pastry

  • Unroll one roll of puff pastry on the work surface.
    Place the tomini on the puff pastry keeping them spaced (two above and two below).

  • Cover them with the other puff pastry and divide them with a cross cut, then fold the edges of the pastry and compact them around each tomino, pressing well to not let the pastry open.
    Place the tomini thus coated on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.

  • Beat the egg in a small bowl with a pinch of salt and brush it over the pastry.
    Bake in a preheated static oven at 392°F (200°C) for twenty minutes.
    Take out and serve immediately, hot, your tomini in puff pastry.
