Ingredients
- 6 slices sandwich bread (square)
- 5.6 oz canned tuna in oil
- 3.5 oz basil pesto
Preparation of Tuna and Pesto Sandwiches
Drain the tuna from the preserving oil, place it on a plate and flatten it with the back of a fork.
Spread a slice of bread with the pesto, then cover it with a layer of “smashed” tuna and another slice of bread.Fill the surface of this one again with the pesto and tuna, and cover it with another slice of bread, pressing gently to make it adhere.
Wrap everything in plastic wrap, repeat with the other slices of bread, the leftover pesto and tuna, then place both wrapped preparations to rest in the fridge. When ready to serve, with a sharp smooth-edged knife, cut each preparation along both diagonals to obtain 4 pieces from each.
Serve your tuna and pesto sandwiches.
