  • 6 slices white sandwich bread (square or white bread)
  • 7 oz tuna in oil
  • 2 tomatoes (red and firm)
  • lettuce
  • 5 fillets anchovies in oil
  • parsley
  • basil
  • mayonnaise

Preparation of the tuna club sandwich

  • Drain the tuna from its preserving oil, put it in a food processor with the anchovy fillets, a bit of parsley, and some basil leaves, and blend until smooth.

Wash the tomatoes and slice them thinly, a few millimeters thick.

Wash and dry some lettuce leaves.

  • Toast the slices of white sandwich bread (if using white bread, first cut off the crust) for a couple of minutes on each side.

Spread the tuna cream on one slice of bread.

Cover with tomato slices and lettuce.

  • Spread some mayonnaise on another slice of bread and place it on the filled slice, mayo side down, pressing lightly to adhere, then spread the uncovered top of this slice with more tuna cream, cover with tomatoes and lettuce, and top with another slice of bread spread with mayonnaise on the side adhering to the filling below.

Prepare the other club sandwich the same way, then cut both diagonally and hold together with toothpicks.

    Serve your tuna club sandwiches.
