- 1 tsp baking powder
- to taste vanilla flavor
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
Tools
- 1 Fork
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Baking Tray
- Parchment Paper
- 1 Brush
Steps
To create our sweet tarallucci cookies, first put the room-temperature butter, sugar, and flavors into the bowl of the mixer or a simple bowl (if you want to mix by hand).
Once in the bowl, soften the sugar well with the butter, and if you achieve a nice soft and whipped mixture, it’s better.
After obtaining a soft and white mixture, add the egg yolk and mix well.
Next, add all the flour and knead well, but only for a few minutes.
Take the tarallucci dough, make a compact loaf, and let it rest in the fridge for at least half an hour.
After half an hour, take the tarallucci loaf from the fridge and create a log.
Cut the large log into small pieces. Stretch each piece well and create a braid.
Place all the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tarallucci with the egg and milk mixture.
Bake for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 320°F.
Remove the tarallucci from the oven and enjoy.
These tarallucci can be stored for many days in a closed tin cookie box.
