- 2.5 oz powdered sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- as needed water or plant-based milk
Tools
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Baking pan perforated
Steps
Prepare the shortcrust pastry:
In a bowl, sift the flour and baking powder.
Add the sugar, a pinch of salt and mix.
Pour in the soft margarine and add a few drops of water or plant-based milk, mixing with a fork or with your hands until you get a homogeneous and compact dough.
If desired, add a few drops of vanilla essence for extra flavor.
Form a ball with the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (but it is not strictly necessary)Prepare the tart:
After the resting time, roll out about 2/3 of the dough with a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface, forming a sheet about 0.2 inches thick.
Line the perforated baking pan with the pastry sheet, making sure to cover the edges well.
Add the jam:
Spread an even layer of jam over the pastry base.
Decorate and cover:
Roll out the remaining dough and, with cutters or by hand, create strips or decorations for the surface of the tart.
Place the decorations on the jam.Cooking in air fryer:
Preheat the air fryer to 320°F.
Place the pan or mold inside the basket.
Bake for about 30 minutes, checking for browning. If the surface darkens too much, cover with a sheet of aluminum foil and continue baking.
Cool and serve:
Once baked, let the tart cool before removing it from the mold.
Serve at room temperature, perhaps accompanied by a cup of tea or coffee.
