Berries have always been among my favorites: raspberries, blackberries, currants, blueberries…. I find them truly delicious. By the end of August, when taking nice walks in nature, it’s easy to come across vigorous bushes full of blackberries. I took advantage of that and we prepared this truly exquisite and most importantly seedless Blackberry Jam with Fruttapec!!!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Cheap
- Preparation time: 30 Minutes
- Portions: 4 jars of approx. 10 oz each
- Cooking methods: Stovetop
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 4.4 lbs blackberries
- 10.5 oz sugar
- 1 packet Fruttapec 3:1
- 1 lemon juice
Preparation
Rinse the blackberries well, place them in a large pot and simmer over low heat, adding a cup of water, for about 20 minutes.
At this point, pass them through a food mill to remove all the seeds.
Now follow the instructions on the Fruttapec package, mixing the sugar with one packet of Fruttapec.
Put the mixture back on the heat, add the sugar mix, the juice of half a lemon, cook for 3 minutes, and then jar the still hot jam into the containers, which you have previously sterilized. This will create a vacuum seal in the jars.
Close the lid tightly and place them upside down for about half an hour.
Straighten the jars and store them in a cool place.
