Chicken and Smoked Bacon Pie

The chicken and smoked bacon pie can be considered a complete dish: it is truly rich and flavorful. You can also enjoy it during a picnic or brunch with friends.

Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz Chicken breast
  • 10.5 oz Smoked bacon (diced)
  • 0.5 cup Cream
  • to taste Fine salt
  • to taste Black pepper (ground)
  • to taste Thyme
  • 3.5 oz Onions
  • 2 tsp Butter
  • 1 Puff pastry (rectangular)
  • to taste Olive oil
  • to taste Tarragon

Preparation

  • In a pan, cook the diced chicken with a little butter, add salt, pepper, thyme, and tarragon. Let it rest.
    Sauté the onion in a pan with a little oil and salt.
    In a third pan, sauté the diced bacon.
    Place the chicken, bacon, and onion in a bowl. Add the cream and mix well.
    Roll out the puff pastry in a rectangular baking dish for 8 portions and put the mixture inside. Add a few tablespoons of milk and bake in a fan-assisted oven at 392°F for 20 minutes.

Notes

You can cover the pie with a sheet of shortcrust pastry or puff pastry if you like.
